GOOD FILM
The Hundred Foot Journey (Lasse Hallström, 2014) is a feel-good film taking you to the French village of Saint-Antonin. An Indian family starts a restaurant, 30 meters (or 100 foot) away from a prestigious French Michelin starred restaurant. Yes, begging for trouble.. The film is a culinary fairytale with beautiful images, a catchy soundtrack (Bollywood) and the finest dishes from French and Indian cuisine. And of course... with Helen Mirren. so don't miss this film.
GOOD FOOD
Impossible NOT to eat during this tug-of-war between the Indian and French cuisine. The film is full of the tastiest dishes, sauces and spices. A film you really have to taste, without having to choose your favorite at the end: French or Indian cuisine.

GREAT TIMING
Good film + good food + great timing. The point is in the latter. One example. When Madame Malory (Helen Mirren) tastes an omelet at minute 67, we want our guests to do the same. One minute earlier or later makes all the difference between good and fabulous! In the end it’s all about the extrasensory sensation; you see, hear, taste, smell and feel the film.
GREAT LOCATION
In mei mogen we de Werkspoorkathedraal onveilig gaan maken in Utrecht. Deze imponerende industriële locatie is straks het toneel van ons filmfoodfestival. De locatie ligt op een steenworp van ‘t bruisende centrum van Utrecht = perfect. De Wasruimte van de Werkspoor was vroeger de douche- en kleedruimte van de fabriek en heeft nog altijd haar kenmerkende witte tegels en wasteilen. Een prachtige evenementenruimte, ideaal voor Cinema Culinair en ook nog eens super goed te bereiken met het OV.
