GOOD FILM
Julie & Julia (Nora Ephron, 2009) is a feelgood movie about two women with a passion for cooking. Secretary Julie Powell is looking for a challenge and finds it in cooking all the hundreds of recipes from an old cookbook by Julia Child. Two films for the price of one: a woman in New York who’s cooking herself through a personal crisis and Meryl Streep in a hilarious leading role as the TV-chef Julia Child. The film is English spoken and subtitled in Dutch.
