GOOD FILM
Julie & Julia (Nora Ephron, 2009) is a feelgood movie about two women with a passion for cooking. Secretary Julie Powell is looking for a challenge and finds it in cooking all the hundreds of recipes from an old cookbook by Julia Child. Two films for the price of one: a woman in New York who’s cooking herself through a personal crisis and Meryl Streep in a hilarious leading role as the TV-chef Julia Child. The film is English spoken and subtitled in Dutch.

GREAT TIMING
What you see is what you eat, at the same time. The culinary script of Cinema Culinair is leading for the chef and his crew: timing is of the essence.
Good film + good food + great timing. The point is in the latter. One example. If the leading character in the film eats a bit of sole meuniere at 19 minutes and 32 seconds, we want our guests to do the same. One minute earlier or later makes all the difference between good and fabulous! In the end it’s all about the extrasensory sensation; you see, hear, taste, smell and feel the film.
